Moccasin
The oldest construction in footwear and still the softest. A true moccasin is built from a single piece of leather wrapped up around the foot and stitched to an apron across the top, so there is no separate sole seam digging into the edge of your foot. The result is a shoe that feels closer to a glove than a boot. Ours are hand-stitched along the apron by a single maker — a slow job, and the reason no two pairs are quite identical. Best worn softly: with linen, with denim, with nothing formal at all.
